As said, “Lomography is life, light, love, lust, laughter, luck and many other words that don’t necessarily begin with L.” No rules, shoot from the hip, point and shoot, happy times… it was, still is and forever will be, appealing to my taste and lifestyle.  Therefore…

I got myself a Mini Diana for my journey in lomography.  I chose this brand of lomocam due to its size… 3/4s my hand, its color is cool, it uses 35mm film – i won’t have any problem looking for 120mms, and true to its review, the unpredictability of the images is just amazing!

I was just able to have my 2nd roll of film developed and is itching for the next one!

Last Saturday Loi, my gf, was photographing the streets.  She came across this old man and took a snap.  After catching the image, she shared it to me via the LCD screen.   Stunned with the beautiful photo, I found myself in deep thoughts – of being old, of being less fortunate, of being like just the old man on the picture…  Retrospect – of being me in my not so good times.  A song by Alanis Morisette captures all my questions in mind

An old adage says “We’re only as good as yesterday”.  So, if yesterday’s bad, then what are we now?  If we do not fit what’s good for the world, then what have we become?

Still, it lingers in my mind.

…as the song by Johnny Cash goes.  The entire song is bitter-sweet, really.  We all have our sunshine – betterhalf, friends, family, pets – that keep us happy, on track, more alive.   A thing or a being that makes us want to wake up everyday just to feel the radiance of its existence.  Its presence is inexplicably blissful.  Whatever our sunshine is, there’s one thing for sure – we do not want it gone.  People sometimes question why we keep our sunshine.  Why we stick with it.  Why we fight for it.  Why we go out of the norms for it.  Well, we don’t have much words to explain why, do we?  All we know is deep down inside is an insatiable thirst only can be quenched by our ‘sunshine’.

Twinkle, Twinkle little star, How I wonder what you are….

It’s funny how as a child we wish we were older, but now that we are-Older, we wish that we are young again.

It’s rare among people to retain their childlike bearing-finding awe in the simplest thing-raindrop, butterfly, or even morning. The hustle and bustle of being an adult slowly rubs off the luster of being a child-childhood a faint & distant apparition.

Isn’t it a wonder to be a child again? You-what would you do to be a child again?
